Anyways, sometimes during break at work I remember to read my little devotional. It's "Hope for Each Day" by Billy Graham - especially appropriate as of late. Today the verse is "The Spirit of truth...dwells with you and will be in you." - John 14:17. The rest of the devotional tells a story about how a father was explaining the Holy Spirit to a boy who wanted to know how you believe in something you've never seen. He compared the Spirit to electricity - you don't see it, but you believe in it because you see it's effects. We see the effects that the Holy Spirit wrings in those around us...I believe we see this with much more clarity and ease than we can see it in ourselves. I'm feeling a pull to start keeping an honest account of a more thorough look at myself here - good and bad. It'll be a lesson for me in not acting modest for the sake of appearing modest and in not being boastful. Brace yourself.
