I get knocked down, but I get up again!
Sooooo yesterday I realized that I probably can't go to the Houghton home tourney this Saturday because I have to work. It's awesome stuff for work, but nonetheless I am sad. And then this morning I woke up not feeling well, so I stayed home sick. However I needed to get a background check request mailed to NYC, so I dragged my butt over to the post office. When I got back, I noticed a slight amount of steam coming from the hood of my car - opened it up to see that all of my coolant is all over the floor. Nice. I get inside after texting my mechanic and get a phone call that the studio apartment that I was really excited about looking into (and had mailed that request, plus the necessary $65 check) has been rented out. I don't want to complain, I will believe that I can rise above these circumstances and that God has closed a door to open a window - as it is, I've found some very interesting other apartments to look into, including a woman who would be willing to let me sublet or pay reduced rent when I have to leave over the summer. But still. What a crazy week!
